The Click dome removal tool is useful for removing the domes from the end of hearing aid receivers.

Included in the packet is also a brush to help remove wax from the domes.

Resound Surefit domes

Domes are pre-sized, disposable soft rubber earpieces. Domes are placed on a hearing aid’s speaker or thin tube to fit comfortably in the ear.

The domes help the hearing aid stay in your ear and help protect the receiver of your hearing aid.

To change the domes:

Take the hearing aid and hold the receiver tightly
Then use your finger to carefully pull off the old Resound dome from the receiver
Take the new Resound domes and look on the back on the domes for the little hole
Fit the dome to the receiver and push the domes into the receiver

Phonak Marvel domes

Marvel domes are pre-sized, disposable earpieces that are placed on the hearing aid’s speaker. They are designed to fit comfortably in the ear.

The domes help the hearing aid stay in your ear and help protect the receiver of your hearing aid.

To change the domes:

Take the hearing aid and hold the receiver tightly
Then use your finger to carefully pull off the old Phonak dome from the receiver
Take the new Phonak domes and look on the back on the domes for the little hole
Fit the dome to the receiver and push the domes into the receiver

Domes and Grip Tip are pre-sized, disposable earpieces that are placed on the hearing aid’s speaker or thin tube to fit comfortably in the ear. Domes range from open domes to closed power domes. Both domes and Grip Tips are made of a soft rubber material.

The domes help the hearing aid stay in your ear and help protect the receiver of your hearing aid.

To change the domes:

Take the hearing aid and hold the receiver tightly
Then use your finger to carefully pull off the old Phonak dome from the receiver
Take the new Phonak domes and look on the back on the domes for the little hole

Widex instant ear tips (or domes) are integrated wax protection domes. The domes help prevent clogging with wax and improve sound and provide greater reliability.

The tips also help the hearing aid stay in your ear and help protect the receiver of your hearing aid from wax and other debris.

To change the ear tips (or domes):

Take the hearing aid and hold the receiver tightly
Then use your finger to carefully pull off the old Widex ear tip/dome from the receiver
Take the new Wdiex ear tip/domes and look on the back on the domes for the little hole
Fit the ear tip/dome to the receiver and push the domes into the receiver

Oticon MiniFit Hearing Aid Domes (pack of 10)

Domes are pre-sized, disposable earpieces that are placed on the hearing aid’s speaker to fit comfortably in the ear. The domes help the hearing aid stay in your ear and help protect the receiver of your hearing aid from wax blockages. They need to be changed every 3 to 6 months.

Domes are made of a soft rubber material and come in four sizes (6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm) and four styles including:

Open domes

Double vent base domes

Single vent Bass domes

Power domes

Changing the domes

Take the hearing aid and hold the receiver tightly
Then use your finger to carefully pull off the old Oticon dome from the receiver
Take the new Oticon dome and look on the back on the dome for the little hole
Fit the dome to the receiver and push the domes into the receiver

Signia (previously Siemens) Hearing Aid Domes (pack of 6)

The domes are made from a highly adaptable, disposable soft-silicone. Click domes ensure comfort and retention of your hearing aids in your ears. They snap securely to your hearing aid receivers so they will not come off in your ear.

The domes help the hearing aid stay in your ear and help protect the receiver of your hearing aid.

To change the dome:

Take the click dome strip (the packaging the domes come in), you will find an arrow pointing to the “dome puller”.
Take the hearing aid receiver and fit the dome from the receiver to the “dome puller” on the strip.
Pull the dome upwards using the dome strip, and push the receiver on an angle. They are designed to not pull straight off so they will not come out in your hear..
Take a new click dome from the dome strip. Peel off the cover of the dome strip from behind.
Take the new click dome and fit it into the receiver.

*Another method is to hold the dome with a tissue then snap the dome off (on an angle) and change to a new click dome.
