Domes are pre-sized, disposable earpieces that are placed on the hearing aid’s speaker to fit comfortably in the ear. The domes help the hearing aid stay in your ear and help protect the receiver of your hearing aid from wax blockages. They need to be changed every 3 to 6 months. Domes are made of a soft rubber material and come in four sizes (6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm) and four styles including: Open domes Double vent base domes Single vent Bass domes Power domes Changing the domes Change the domes by pulling the old one off (sometimes using a tissue help with grip), check the receiver (speaker) is clean and give it a brush with the cleaning brush. Then push on the new dome.
